At the edge of Roppongi, Deutschland Fest 2013 was held from October 11 to 14. I went along on opening night to check it out. Kind of a cross between Oktoberfest and a traditional German Christmas market, there were plenty of fresh pretzels, and sausages for people to enjoy with their German beer and glühwein (mulled wine). There were also some small markets, a live band, and slightly more yodelling than I thought strictly necessary.

Welcome to Germany!
Oktoberfest under the moon.
Plenty of little stalls selling everything from Christmas decorations to pretzels.
The traditional lebkuchenherzen heart-shaped gingerbread cookies.
"I love you"
The German crossing signal men are so adorable.
A German kampai: "Prost!"
There was plenty of music...
A German toy train set chugged around a track.
German flags flew proudly while people drank beer and gluhwein and ate traditional food by moonlight.
...an an accordion.
